Savannah still only has two teeth! Here is a picture of Skylar at 10 months. She had 5 teeth and two popping through on the bottom. Savannah hates it when she sees me give Skylar something that she can't have, but I'm scared to give her too much table food with only two teeth to chew with. She loves puffs and yogurt melts and I am sure will be very happy when she can eat some real food.

Meredith's Bachelorette Party...
We rented a pontoon boat for the day and then went out in a stretch hummer limo to the honky tonks that night. Not my typical Saturday for sure! Amanda and Dianne had made everyone matching shirts with Mer's picture that said "Meredith's Last Night Out".
We are very excited for Meredith and Kyle!

Labor Day Weekend
We worked all morning Monday morning around the house cleaning and organizing and then Monday night we had a babysitter and got to go out. For some reason every time we have a babysitter we act like it is the last time we will ever leave the house without kids again- and we go nuts. We usually gain a couple lbs each by eating/drinking way too much yummy food and we always spend too much money. A trip to Target is usually involved at some point in the night and free time to look around Target without kids= trouble. They get us even more because we use our Target card and frequently earn an extra 10% for using it so much. With two in diapers and on formula, it is easy to rack up the points. So, when we have an extra 10% off plus our regular Tyler's 10% off, we feel like we need to buy one of everything. Most recent exciting purchases: new camera (since our unfortunate camera accident at the beach ruined our old camera) and new big girl car seat for Savannah when she turns 1!
We are getting bigger and bolder with the bows! Memphis had some really fun bow shops...
Skylar is like....I'm outta here. Savannah quickly followed and we had to rein them in from crawling off the dock.
Savannah actually loved getting to hang on the bar and tried to get out of Tyler's arm to get back on it.
Skylar is loving tea sets and dishes right now. She likes to stir and say "makin, makin". Ask her what she is making and she will usually say "coffee" and sometimes "kancake". She has always loved saying coffee and it was close to one of her first real words. Since it usually takes me all morning to finish my coffee, she always sees me with a cup and likes to talk about it.
Here is a little look at one of the many "altercations" that goes on between them all day. They are really in to taking away toys from each other. It's so funny though because they don't do it rudely, they just calmly and persistently chase each other around and take the toy back and forth until one of them moves on. It doesn't matter what it is- they want it if the other one has it.
Savannah does a duck and roll move to get away from her.
Skylar chases her in to the curtain.
Savannah says- Oh, that's OK, I'll just go stand and look at myself in the dirty oven:)
Memphis Visit
It was also a great week because we had lots of family come see us. We don't make it to Memphis very often, so everyone was really sweet to make an effort to come see the girls. Tyler's dad was in Tupelo at the furniture market so he got to swing by on his way home for a visit. My dad came in from Texas too to see the girls and Ryan, Jenny, and Benjamin came in from Nashville for a long weekend. My uncle Lee and aunt Gaye even came in for a night to visit. It was a fun week! Everyone loved watching the girls and Ben play in the kid pit in the middle of the den. We moved all the furniture around so there was a big space to play and only one tiny exit which of course they found pretty quick and liked to try and escape out of and into the kitchen.
Katie! Skylar loves Aunt Katie...
So, these pictures do not do this scenario justice, but it was a hilarious giggling match involving funny hats. I will post the phone video I was taking too. Gigi got the girls some new hats for this winter and I was trying them on before bath time one night. Skylar kept looking at Savannah's hat and giggling and thought it was hilarious. Savannah kept trying to take her hat off and would pull it farther down on her head. She was crawling around with it over her face and would sit up and shake her head and try and get it off. Of course that made Skylar and everyone else laugh even harder. They are so funny together!
Savannah loves to play with her car seat...
We took the girls out to Shelby Farms one afternoon to try and get their picture in the sunflower field. It had been so dry though that they were all withered and pitiful looking. A few cute pictures anyway...
Playing at the park down the street from Gigi's house. The girls were loving the swings. Skylar is getting better at holding on and can go a little bit higher/faster now which she loves.
Gigi, Grandude, and kiddos. Skylar likes to say Grandooooode!
Attacking Daddy when he got out the ipad. They love to play with it and watch Wonder Pets on it.
Escaping to the laundry room one night before bath.
