Easter and more April Happenings...

April was a busy blur of school, traveling, and various Easter Egg Hunts and festivities! The girls had so much fun finding eggs all month and enjoying Easter candy! :) Our church hosted an Easter Eggstravaganza for children and adults with special needs and their families. We feel very blessed to have found a church that cares about this population! The teams of volunteers that help these special events happen are amazing! There were tons of crafts and games for all the kids to do, and a glow in the dark egg hunt..
Ready to go! We won't go unnoticed today in these outfits...

My after church Target helpers...
Finally ready to knock out our strep once and for all! This is all the medication that the girls were taking. Some for a few days, and some for ten days. I literally felt like remembering and preparing twice daily medicine doses was my full time job for a few days. :) But it worked! I got strep one more time before the end of the month, but otherwise, we were almost cured!
Savannah's first love note...
Gramp came in town from TX for a quick visit. We had fun at the park and Skylar loved having him write her lists and stories that she loves to dictate...

Adorable.
"but why can't we get a giant container of messy chesse balls!?" :( ...
Mommy is so happy for short sleeve weather!
Ryan and Jenny and the boys got to join us for Easter Egg Hunt round 2!
Look at those blue eyes!...

These two are two peas in a pod...
Uncle Ryan workout...
The girls loved taking everyone to church with us for the first time...
Sweet blondies! ...
Skylar had her first Kindergarten field trip to Menagerie Farm. It had been beautiful outside for over a week, and the morning of her field trip a cold front moved through. It was freezing! She was not loving being cold :( She was also hungry, and pretty much asked the entire field trip to eat and to go home. She did enjoy seeing the animals, and she briefly enjoyed riding a pony! :)
That's alot of 5 and 6 year olds! ...

Savannah is always ready for something...not sure what..
School for Sky and swim lessons for Savannah :) ...
Ready for Easter...
Don't know what I would do without these two precious girls.
Fun with moving boxes!...

The Easter Bunny came...
Skylar got to wear my First Communion dress that my mom made for me. It looked beautiful on her and was very special that she got to wear it for Easter.

Beautiful Easter girls!

Our little yellow pixie...
At the end of the month, we traveled to Maine to celebrate the wonderful life of my grandmother, Anita Richardson. She was a beautiful person inside and out! We had not been to Maine in a few years, and even thought it was bittersweet, it was so good to reminisce and be with family...

Early April and Savannah's Art Show

Savannah started April off "sick" at home with Mommy for a couple of days ;) She was intermittently running a fever, but it didn't slow her down!
Helping me grocery shop....she is incapable of walking ha..even with Strep!?...
Dress up and bike riding...
She chose jean shorts as her "bloomers" for the day?? :)...
Time for nails...we need some sun!...

LOVING warm weather after school!!

Savannah's preschool hosted an Art show for families to come visit school and see everything that they had been working on all year. We love Hope preschool for so many reasons, and this night was no exception! Everything was showcased so beautifully, and you could tell all the teachers had put so much time and effort into making sure all of students felt special showing off their artwork. Savannah was super excited and was running around and pointing to everything! Tyler was out of town, so he wasn't able to come to the show:(, but Gigi was excited she got to come with us!

Savannah and her wonderful teachers Mrs. Nanci and Mrs. Lydia...
There was a long strip of paper in the hall where everyone could color. This was Skylar's favorite part of the night!...

How can you not love this happy green face!?
Such a special night all about Savannah! :)
