Gigi and Grandude visit and Disney

Gigi and Grandude came for a long visit over Spring Break. They were wonderful enough to give Tyler and I a getaway for a few days to Disney. They stayed super busy while we were gone, but did great with the girls and had fun taking them on long walks and playing in the back yard. It was so fun to get out of the baby routine for a few days. It was the first time we had ever left Savannah and the longest we had ever left Skylar, but it really flew by. We packed so much into the trip that I didn't have time to think about missing them too much. Tyler had to go to MN at the beginning of the week and then met me in FL, so he was definitely ready to see them when we got home.
We made it to all four parks in two days- pretty much not stopping the whole time. It is amazing how much you can see without kids in tow and with no bedtime to worry about. My very favorite part of the trip was seeing all the sleeping kids at Disney. They were so sweet and peaceful and passed out in the funniest of places and positions. Some parents just set up nap time at various benches and let the kids sprawl out. Most of the kids were asleep in strollers and were totally oblivious to everything going on around them. This one little boy was my favorite- he was turned completely around facing backwards in the stroller with his face against the seat and his bottom in the air. He looked perfectly comfy like he was in his bed at home. I was kindof expecting to be annoyed by all the kiddos while on a baby free vacation, but their little excited faces made my day. There really is something magical about the place.
We also got to spend a very relaxing day by the pool and enjoy a wonderful dinner at Roy's.

People everywhere!

The stroller parking at all the different rides was one of the wildest things I have seen. It was a madhouse! We are going to look at this picture anytime we are thinking about Disney in the next few years and remember that we aren't ready to make the trek with kids yet.

Hollywood studios

Epcot was having a beautiful flower show throughout the park and had all of these neat flower and greenery arrangements of the characters.

We loved walking around at Epcot! It was a gorgeous day only made better by some Dos Equis in Mexico and chocolate crossiants in France.

It was a blast! We are excited to go back when the girls are old enough to enjoy it.

Thanks Gigi and Grandude!

Savannah 4 months old

Savannah is 4 months old today! She weighs 11 lbs 11 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. Still a tiny little thing! She sleeps a 9 hour stretch at night and is a pretty good napper during the day. She can roll from her tummy to her back and likes to lift her head up and talk to herself in the mirror. She loves to watch her sister crawl around and be noisy and smiles at her a lot. Eating is still not her favorite activity, but we are starting to get things figured out.
What a beautiful smiley baby!

A vist from Gramp and Grammy and recent happenings...

Gramp and Grammy visited all the way from TX last week. They were so happy to see the girls and get to experience a little baby craziness. We got to do some fun bargain shopping that they don't have in small town Hallettsville, and my dad was nice enough to help Tyler fix a few things around the house. It was a great visit!

I haven't posted in a while because I have been lost in Twilight Land! I have never been in to scary or sci-fi anything and really not that much of a gooey love story fan either- but I can not get enough of these books. My sis-n-law Jenny tried to get me to read it 2 summers ago but I wasn't that interested and thought I didn't have time with a four month old. Now, I have a four month old and a 22 month old and I want to spend every second I have while they are asleep reading. It has been the most fun distraction I have had in a long time and was exactly what I needed right now as a periodic escape from baby land. It is amazing how quickly is sucks you in. So, if you haven't read it yet...don't judge and think its just for 13 year olds....it is such a fun guilty pleasure:) I am on the last book of the Saga and will be really sad when its over. Any other addicting series suggestions to read after this??
