Nursery....In Progress

My mom came in town for her Spring Break and helped us get the nursery in order. We added one more coat of paint, assembled the crib, rocker, and futon, and washed lots of baby clothes. We were very excited to get a working crib this time after our bad luck with the last one -and it is really cute. Since we are "losing" a guest room we thought it would be nice to have an extra sleeping area in the nursery for when we have lots of company. We got a futon on 75% clearance at Target and I think it will work just fine.
We don't have anything on the walls yet and the dining room still has some baby things in it that need to be put away, but we are making progress.

After a hard night's work on the nursery Tyler decided to try the futon out. My mom and I were still sorting clothes and deciding where to put things and Tyler passed out for a good 30 minute nap. I guess it is comfy enough!

Baby Bedding!!

Katie suprised me with the baby bedding at the shower. It was awesome- I had no idea she was bringing it. She did a great job and it looks so cute! Katie really has a gift for sewing and was so nice to spend two weeks making the bedding for us. Thank you KT!!!

Knoxville Baby Shower

A long time family friend of Ty's family hosted a baby shower for us in Knoxville. It was so fun and we got to see lots of friends from college and lots of family friends that we haven't seen in a while. Thank you especially to all the Memphis, Chatt., and Nashville friends for making the trek over in the crazy rainstorm. I am very blessed to have such great friends and wish I got to see you all more.
Baby Meece got lots of goodies and has some really cute little outfits to wear. We were overwhelmed with all of the gifts and the love that was shown for her. She is very lucky to have so many friends and family excited about her arrival. (I know everyone will also be very excited when "she" has a name!)
Doesn't Minde look great- she does not look like she just had a baby!!

Katie's Visit

Katie got to come visit exciting Greenville for a long weekend. She got to go to the doctor with me for my 30 week appointment. Sorry we had to wait so long Katie!! We did lots of lounging in our pj's and of course a little bit of shopping. We love the Office and had an Office marathon every night.
One night Ty, KT, and I went out for sushi. We walked out of the house and realized we had no car keys or house keys. Tyler had to break in to our house with a credit card. The scary thing is it only took him 5 minutes- where did you learn to do that Tyler!
The whole scene was nothing new for KT because it reminded us of the million times I locked myself out of the house in highschool.

Thanks for coming Katie- I wish we lived closer!!

Baby Emelia

Another baby addition to the family....Baby Emelia. My step-brother Brad and his wife Lauren just had their first baby. They live in Hawaii where he is posted with the Navy. Janis was lucky and got to be there for the birth but had to fly home the next morning.
We wish you guys the best!!

Hilton Head

Tyler and I got to go to Hilton Head for Spring Break and we had a blast. It was so nice not to worry about my class for a week and Tyler loved being off of work for a whole week. We ate lots of good food (of course) and did a lot of relaxing and reading by the pool. There were some walks on the beach too and one morning we saw about 10 dolphins swimming down the coast. It was so cool! The weather was perfect although the ocean was still a little chilly. Of course if I wasn't 8 mo. pregnant I would have been all over ridin some cold waves.

We drove to Savannah one night and went to Paula Deen's restaraunt Lady and Sons. It was delicious....and oh so bad for you.

It was wonderful to have some time to hang out just the two of us. We look forward to doing it again next year with the help of a grandma babysitter:)

Charlotte Baby Shower

Our old neighbor Lori threw a shower for us in Charlotte a few weeks ago. It was really nice and I got to see some of my co-workers from the Aquatic Center and a few neighbors as well. We played the guess the baby poop game and also guess the baby food. I have a lot to learn about baby food- a lot of them looked just the same. It was fun to be in Charlotte for the weekend and it made Tyler and I miss our neighborhood.

Baby Caroline

We got to see Baby Caroline again last week and she is getting so big. She is 7 weeks old now and over 10 pounds. She is such a good girl and made it through a family dinner at Bravo without making a peep. Here is a picture of my mom holding her.
