Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great trip to Knoxville over Memorial Day weekend! We had beautiful hot weather and lots of good food and good family time! It was probably our last weekend to invade Minde and James's for a little while because our new nephew, Wilson, will be here soon. We got to enjoy their new pool for the first time and the girls absolutely loved swimming every day. They also loved some good pj time and playroom time. The Hursts are so nice to let us come move in for the weekend.

Caroline's beautiful playroom! I think the girls literally thought they were at Disney World on vacation all weekend...
Glass slippered, cowgirl, doctor, singer dress-up...
Ouch! Wrong way to take a hat off...

We love the girls new swimmies! I think this summer is going to be an entirely different summer at the pool...so excited for some water independence. Of course I wish they were actually swimming and that is the eventual goal, but just to have them happy and playing in the water without physically having to have a hand on them- is amazing! They can float around and kick with their swimmies on all by themselves. I still want to be in the water fairly close, just in case- but this is still a huge change from summers past!

Ty and the girls got me a waterproof camera for Mother's Day! We got some cool underwater pool pictures. And I can't wait to use it at the beach this year. No rogue wave is going to ruin this camera like it did our Nikon! It is indestructible.
Aunt Minde and Caroline

Aunt Lori and Uncle Jack are fun in the pool!

Our friend Lauren and her two kids happened to be driving through Knoxville and got to stop in for a picnic lunch. Paul Carter and Ellie are such sweet cute kids!
Skylar loved to look out this window all weekend....great view of the pool.

Savannah is getting schooled in iPad games...
Smoothie time...
Memorial Day cookout with friends and family...
Aunt Lori and Uncle Jack- celebrating their one year anniversary today!

Savannah was obsessed with these glass slippers the whole weekend. They were way too big for her and she got blisters on her little toes from wearing them- but she didn't care. What am I going to do with a shoe loving girl?...my most expensive pair of shoes are New Balance.
