Destin 2014

We had a great trip to the beach with Tyler's side of the family this year! It is always so fun to have everyone and all the cousins together. We all went to Destin together for the first time and loved all the cool restaurants to go to every night. And of course the beautiful, white sand beach! We had absolutely amazing weather!!, until it wasn't. And then it turned nonstop ugly. But we made the most out of our beautiful days and enjoyed hours outside on the beach and at the pool. The girls even successfully made it through dinner every night and were well behaved, good girls! If only more restaurants at home could be open aired, overlooking the water, with lots of other loud people around- we could go out more often!:) I loved getting to see Caroline and the boys, and wish we could see them more often! Caroline and Savannah were inseparable and had so much fun talking each others ears off.
Leaving our hotel in Birmingham. They think it is so cool to spend the night in a hotel!
Pit stop for a little seat spinning at McDonald's...
Getting close!
All settled for the night with Skylar's make shift couch tent in our room...
We started the first morning at 5:15 and I literally thought I might have a conniption. I thought there is no way that these busy girls will survive this day at the beach! But, after I accepted that it was really happening, we had lots of fun mornings together that started before 6 am. And what is not to love about these kids anytime of day...

Cute couple :)...

Everyone at Backporch...

My families favorite thing to do together is take pictures. Ha! There were a few more like this..which didn't end well for one little blondie being sassy. But, we tried again at home with better attitudes :)

Then we took a nice calm down walk with Aunt Lori...
Memorial Day morning started with...

Cupcakes for breakfast!?...

Now this is an awesome beach set up!!

Skylar loves her uncles!

Ready to go out for dinner and ice cream!...
Love these little pants!...Do dinosaurs go here?...
Mimi and her Grandgirls...

Chasing around the ice cream store...we clearly need more sugar!

Tent crasher...
Finally worn out, whew!...
Wilson says why do we go back to bed...
Day 3 on the beach...I think this might have been the only time we were all out there together...
I mean this boy is nothing but happy! Cute family!
Oh, Meece girls...

Yay, cute kiddos!!...
Fun with everyone on the beach...

These little nephews of ours could not have been more chill on the beach!? We have no idea what it would be like to have a 1 or 2 year old sit on a blanket or in a chair on the beach, so enjoy it while it lasts! ;)
Sweet little paci faces...

Kite flying with Uncle James...

Night out at the Harborwalk... We walked around the marina and then had an awesome dinner at Margaritaville overlooking the water...

Do dinosaurs go in Mommy's water?...Yes! yes the do ;)

Cool boat we saw during dinner...

Another fun morning! That's alot of kiddos...

Gorgeous morning to be out early...

We had this beautiful beach almost to ourselves...

Savannah getting her dance on...
Mimi babysat for all of us to go out! We went to Tommy Bahama and had wonderful drinks and dinner with just adults!

Day 5 we woke up to lots of rain in the forecast...
This cracked us up. Poor Barbie is trying to hang on...
Pj time for a while... Savannah and Caroline got to share a room all week!...

Happy Beau...

Then we attempted movie and popcorn for a while, which of course didn't last too long for the Meece girls... They all look super cute though!...
Skylar taking over the couch...
Tent crasher strikes again...
On day 6 we all woke up and with another rainy day on the horizon, we decided to pack up and head home a day early...
Sad kiddos that wish we were playing outside instead of leaving...

The girls got surprises for being so good in the car...

We went through lots of different stages on our long ride home: good, wild, wilder, delirious, sad sleepy girls. Which is why we don't usually pack up and leave town at 11:00 am...But we made it!, and the girls were troopers as always..

Great trip, Can't wait to do it again next year!
