Savannah's Birthday Festivities

Mimi came in town the weekend before Savannah's birthday and we had an little family party with Gigi and Granddude too... Savannah wanted a Wonder Woman and Superhero party :)
Quite the spread of presents! This lucky girl has some great aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents!

Opening her presents...she loved everything as usual! :)

After lots of partying and yummy strawberry cake, we headed out for a walk to the pond for some exercise and fresh air...
I think this might always be one of my favorite pictures of Savannah. We got to the pond and she was so excited she had the right shoes on to climb trees because I won't let her climb in her "good" shoes lol. And she was was so happy and carefree and enjoying every moment! I just looked at her and thought about how great it must be to be 5 years old and not a care in the world!
Savannah, I am so sad about you turning 6 and growing up too fast, but I also could not be more proud of the little girl you have become. You are sweet, kind, compassionate, funny, spirited, and adventurous! You are a good friend, an amazing sister, and a blessing as a daughter! I wish you could stay this spunky 5 year old forever! :)
Headed to bed with her new WW pjs and Supergirl doll...
Lots of lounging in pjs and playing with new toys the rest of the weekend...

We had lots more fun birthday festivities on Savannah's actual birthday! We got to read to her class and pass out cupcakes at lunch, and that night we headed to Chuck E Cheese for more partying with Gigi and Granddude!
Our big 6 year old!!!

Savannah requested Star Wars cupcakes for the boys and flower cupcakes for the girls... They turned out so cute!

But she chose a Darth Vader cupcake :)

Ready to party at "Chuck E Cheeseits!" As Savannah calls it :) She has been excited and talking about this for months and every time we drive by they both go crazy asking if we can go there!
She had an absolute blast! She loves all the game and of course all the tickets, and thought it was so fun and special that she got included in ChuckE's show. Skylar had fun too and mostly ran around the entire night checking everything out.

This was their favorite ride and the longest Sky sat down all night! These smiles are priceless...

This picture cracks me up...

More celebratory cake! :)
ChuckE!
We saved our presents so she will still have a few to open on her birthday....a new basket and bell for her bike...
Savannah and Tyler got to do the Ticket Blaster together and it was hilarious! She could barely grab any tickets because she was getting blown around so much...

Savannah's turn by herself...
Back for more presents...a pretend play school set...
And a new doll  for Skylar....Blondie...

At the end of the night she picked an inflatable sword and shield with all of her tickets...
And Skylar got some giant ChuckE glasses...
These two know how to have a good time!! :)
Savannah loved her special birthday week!
