Hilton Head

We had so much fun in Hilton Head last week with Tyler's family. We had great weather most of the time even though it was supposed to rain at some point every day. We had some amazing dinners and enjoyed eating with the other baby goers and seniors for the early bird specials. Who would have thought a few years ago that we would be going to the beach and eating at 5:30 and then be home by 7:00? We had fun staying in at night though and played lots of cards and games and broke out the ping pong table one night. Our house was great and it was nice having a pool cause we got to have some adult swim time every afternoon while the girls took a nap. Non pregnant vacationers got to enjoy some yummy poolside cocktails.
We hadn't see our niece Caroline since January when she was just first taking a few steps and she is now all over the place and was so cute. She says "Bec, Bec, and T for Tyler, and Ky for Skylar. Caroline was loving the beach by the end of the week and wanted to play in the "wabes." Skylar loved the pool and the ocean and would babble and kick nonstop she was so excited.

My mom got to come in town over the weekend with Mary, who is a long time friend from Memphis that now lives in Maryland. They babysat one night and Ty and I got to go see Angels and Demons-which we thought was a great movie. Tyler was in Minneapolis all last week so it was nice to have some help entertaining Skylar over the weekend.

We have been taking Skylar to water babies at the YMCA for about a month and she loves it. She doesn't really like to go under, but she likes to kick and splash and pretend jump in from the side of the pool.

Skylar's early Birthday

Aunt Jenny and Uncle Ryan were sweet enough to host a little early birthday party for Skylar while we were in Nashville over the weekend. She made her a yummy chocolate cake to play in and Skylar had a great time making a mess.

We had to improvise since the high chair tray we had wasn't big enough for cake. Tyler grabbed her up and sat her right on the table in front of the cake. Whatever works:)

The final damage. We made a huge mess and there was cake all over the table and rug. I am sure Sadie (their dog) loved helping clean up.

Fun in Nashville

We went to Nashville over the weekend to see family and go to a baby shower for Ryan and Jenny. We had a jammed packed weekend trying to see everyone and do everything, but it was so fun and so worth the trip.

I wish I could have gotten this on video...it was so funny. Noir was sitting on the air mattress and when we laid Skylar down she started bucking and rolling around and Noir's eyes got so big and she kept following Skylar's every move. She was like- what is this crazy jumping noisy thing on my bed.
