We started our Christmas holiday with a trip to Knoxville to celebrate with Tyler's family! We had a great time as usual and loved seeing everyone!
Our nephew Wilson is getting SO big! He is 6 mo. and weighs 20 lbs- and Savannah is 3 yrs and weighs 28- with all of her clothes on :) He is such a flirty, happy boy.
New train from Grandpa
Grandpa and grandkids
Cute Caroline and Wil...that somehow don't seem to have one Meece gene in them!?
Savannah doesn't like to participate in family pictures...
oh, but now she thinks it's really funny....
Such big girls- having some computer time...
"Christmas" morning...
Future Doctor...
Lots of presents!...
Skylar is super excited about a new Prince Charming...
Daddies and Uncles hard at work opening and "batterying" new toys...
Aunt Minde and Wil
Wil and Uncle Tyler. This little boy is outnumbered in this cousin crew!
Aunt Lori and Sky (no pics of Uncle Jack this time!?)
How long can a slinky stretch before it breaks? Or before it pops off and hurts someone...
Stopping for a water break....these girls play each other out!
We ended our Christmas night with a fun visit from the Rzezutko's. Rod loves to get the girls wound up...
The girls hanging out in Savannah's closet bedroom while we pack up to head home :(
They both started having runny noses before we left the house Sunday morning and got progressively worse on the drive home. We ended up driving straight to the pediatric urgent care place (since it was Sunday and the day before Christmas Eve) as soon as we got into town. We stopped at one that had 9 kids waiting and 5 waiting to be registered! Yikes. So, we drove to another doctor- all after being in the car for 8 hrs and barely able to get out because it was so cold. The girls both tested positive for the flu! :( I couldn't believe it- I definitely only thought they had a cold or something. And they hadn't left the house for 3 days. Here we are waiting at the doctor...
We spent all of Christmas Eve wiping noses and dispensing Tamiflu for everyone. Gigi and Grandude came in town just in time for the flu too :(
It was not the Christmas we envisioned, and we definitely spent the whole week taking care of sick girls and trying not to get sick ourselves, but it was still a good Christmas! The girls loved their presents from Santa and rallied enough to play with toys on Christmas morning.
Cinderella castle and Monorail from Santa. It was kindof a special Disney year this year with Sky's Wish trip, so he kept with the theme...
Vintage highchair and bunkbeds from Gigi and Grandude....that used to be mine 30 yrs ago...
Christmas morning!
Checkin everything out...
Poor little sick face :(...
Savannah put Jake to sleep in the bed. Not the sweet babydolls that Gigi picked out....but this girl loves her pirates...
Too tired to play anymore. Watching Frosty the Snowman for the 10th time...
New lantern and Ken doll made the cut to watch with them...
We were lumps all week! We all took turns not feeling great and thinking we were getting the flu, but so far, none of the adults got a full blown terrible version of the flu. Here was a typical evening scene...the girls on the couch watching Frosty and everyone else playing each other in Words with Friends. Why play Scrabble when you can just sit on the couch and play on your phone lol!?
(Ty's cousins got us the cool fort that is in the background- called Crazy Forts)
Hopefully everyone is well next Christmas and we can be a little more exciting :)...
