March was a busy month!! We had fun visits from two grandmas on their Spring Breaks, Savannah had ear tubes surgery, and Skylar started vision therapy. We also had lots and lots of snow on a couple different occasions.
Savannah graduated to "big kid" status at preschool and now gets to be dropped off in the carpool line. Here she is looking so proud on her first day in line :)
Snow during Gigi's Spring Break visit...
Savannah finally got tubes after a couple years of pretty frequent ear infections. The poor thing had a legitimate hearing loss because of all the fluid in her ears. She is also one of (if not THE) loudest kids I have ever heard. Especially for being such a tiny little thing. But, apparently, she could not hear herself very well.
She was SUCH a brave girl during the whole process! We had to be at the hospital downtown at 7 am. The three of us were walking down this long empty hallway and Savannah kindof looked up at both of us with this smile on her face, and we were like- she thinks this is fun :( Because she had both of her parents undivided attention and we were together just the three of us in a big tall building that she thought was really cool. It was very sweet and sad at the same time because it is so seldom that we ever have the opportunity to take the girls to do something special just by themselves. Actually, it pretty much never happens, so it was wonderful that Gigi could be in town to help with Skylar so that we could both be there for surgery!
She played in the waiting room so well and then kept right on playing in her hospital bed! She didn't even cry or act scared when she was wheeled off towards the OR. And less than an hour later, she was done! Of course she was not happy to wake up, but she was happy about the two popsicles she got to eat after surgery :)
