We had a great week in Destin with our Meece side of the family! We had mostly beautiful weather and the cousins got to enjoy lots of beach play time. It is always so good to see everyone!
Tyler happened to get Friday off, so Skylar skipped her last half day of school, and we headed out!
It was a long day, but the girls did pretty good and we made it to the beach just in time for dinner at Pompano Joes!
All settled in for the night in our hotel! :) It was a little cozy for everyone but Savannah, who enjoyed a big bed all to herself...

Powering up for the day! :) Coffee was a staple this week with lots of early mornings! Sky had one really bad night and was up most of the night and then started our day at 4:45 :/, but compared to years past, the nights went better than usual! And no one was sick or threw up all week, so that was great!

We walked to the farmers market in the morning and then headed to Fudpucker's for lunch...
The girls thought the live alligators were pretty cool!
After lunch, we waited at the outlet mall for everyone to get in to town! We attempted to check in to our house early and got reprimanded lol. But we finally got in to our house and everyone made it!

This sweet girl got her first ever sunburn :( We tried a new sunscreen and it was no match for protecting her ivory skin! The sunburn, combined with super active days and not long nights, led to some tearful nights during showers and getting dressed. But, she rallied and put on a happy face the best she could! Uncle Jack and Aunt Lori got her some aloe too and that helped!

I LOVE it when Skylar is happy on the beach! She has her moments where she will happily play in her bucket with toys, or write in the sand, but she also has her moments where she hates to be hot or wants to go in and will not stop reminding us of that :) But, when she is cooled off and is loving being with all of her people- all is right in the world!

What a fun trip with lots of new adventures and experiences!! Great memories. Love the pics of all 5 cousins together! Can't wait too see Baby Meece added to the mix on our next trip!
