Strawberry Picking

The girls love going out to the Berry Farm. To them, it is more about all the fun stuff they get to do there than it is about picking pumpkins or strawberries. This was the first season we felt "comfortable" letting them ride the barrel train. We got them all strapped in with their seat belts and everything, and then this good ole boy tractor man with a big white beard and overalls took OFF with the train- he was hauling! He was whipping the train around and doing donuts with it like it was no big deal. They were loving it though and Skylar had a huge smile on her face the whole time.

Riding out to the strawberry field
Last year all of the strawberries we picked were gone in a couple of days because we made all sorts of yummy goodies with them, and I was aiming for at least double that this year. We went at a different time of day and maybe didn't pick a great spot, because we hardly got any strawberries. The girls probably ate more in the field than we actually picked. It was such a pitiful display of strawberries in our box that they didn't even charge us for them. We ended up getting some already picked ones from the market. O well... They had fun and the berries were still SO good!

We ended the day with a trip to Sonic and they got to enjoy their first ever corn dog. Skylar ate the whole thing!
(We also ended our Sonic trip with spilled milkshake all over Savannah and her carseat...always fun)
